Our Staff:

Brad
Brad graduated from Speech and Hearing Science in 1997 and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Audiology in 1998 (with Distinction). After working in the private sector for a period, Brad partnered with his mother, Carole, forming Sonic Hearing. The practices thrived, developing into three full time sites and two visiting sites with up to 7 Audiologists employed to handle the clinical load. Due to Sonic Hearing’s success, it was purchased by a hearing aid manufacturer in 2007. In 2012, Brad re-opened his own business known as Brad Hutchinson Hearing, again in partnership with his Mother. Brad Hutchinson Hearing is a boutique audiology practice that excels in the provision of high quality services and products, drawing on the knowledge Brad and Carole bring with them from their longstanding business experience. The premises are high-tech audiology facilities set in charming and comfortable old-world surroundings in North Perth and Midland. Brad specialises in hearing rehabilitation, hearing aids, auditory processing, diagnostic testing and tinnitus.
Brad is married with three children, and has 2 pets – a Groodle (Golden Retriever x Poodle) named Oscar, and a Burmese cat named Chanel. He enjoys a good balance between work and family and even has time to play cricket on the weekends.

Carole
Carole is Brad’s mother and the pair has been working together for nearly 14 years. They established Sonic Hearing in 2001 and have since opened their new clinic, Brad Hutchinson Hearing.
Carole has a BA in the social sciences and previously worked for about 15 years for members of parliament, leaving that job to join Brad in the new venture. She has four children and six grandchildren. Her hobbies are home and the children.

Ceri
My name is Ceri. I was lucky enough to be raised on a sheep and cattle farm in NSW. I moved to Sydney after my school days were over to complete a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Hearing & Speech at Sydney University. After a year of travelling I settled in Perth and graduated with a Masters in Clinical Audiology from the University of Western Australia. I have experience in adult rehabilitation, paediatric audiology and complex adult cases. My interests lie in helping adults with additional disabilities such as dementia, intellectual disabilities and visual impairment. I have been working at Brad Hutchinson Hearing since September 2014. South Perth is where I live and I enjoy cooking, exercising and in my spare time, getting outdoors with my partner Dave.

Claire
Claire is the jack of all trades at Brad Hutchinson Hearing, primarily their Accountant. She studied at Curtin University and has a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Marketing. She has worked with Brad and Carole at Sonic Hearing since its inception, and then joined them with their new venture.
She is married with 3 beautiful children who do not yet show an interest in Accounting.

Mel
Melanie completed her Masters of Clinical Audiology at UWA in 2007 following an Undergraduate Bachelor of Science with a keen interest in Physiology and Neuroscience. Melanie specialises in hearing rehabilitation, hearing aids, auditory processing, diagnostic testing, and tinnitus and has a keen interest in continued professional development and research. She has worked both in Perth and Sydney and moved back to Perth in 2012 to work at Brad Hutchinson Hearing with Brad and Carole. She likes to spend free time in the park with her baby boy, husband, and pug.

Rowena
I moved from New Zealand to Australia in 1987 and since arriving my passions for spending time in my garden, beach walking and all things to do with healthy living have thrived. I was accepted in to University of Canterbury in NZ in my youth but life got in the way. Since then, I have obtained extensive knowledge and experience from my working environment, from various occupations. I first started working for Brad and Carole in their initial venture, Sonic Hearing and have re-joined the team to continue my journey with Brad Hutchinson Hearing. My role at Brad Hutchinson Hearing as the Midland Clinic manager involves liaising with and answering enquiries from new and existing clients, both by telephone and in person. I also perform a lot of front desk troubleshooting, fixing many hearing aid problems before the need to see an Audiologist occurs. I am involved in planning, developing and implementing PR strategies aimed at maximising the company’s service and reputation. Beyond the general administration duties involved with running a busy clinic, assisting with company growth and project manage promotions including our visit to field days.

Savanna
I relocated to Perth in 2012 with my family from my home town of Houston, Texas USA. Since then, I have met and married my husband Simon and have made Perth my home, and I love living here. I have been involved in volleyball internationally for 12 years, playing both indoor and beach volleyball. Volunteering at the local animal shelter and spending time with my family is what I like to do in my spare time. I have previous medical experience after working in my family’s Oral Surgery office in Texas, and my work interests lie in offering the best possible client service and providing beneficial information about the services and technology we provide here at Brad Hutchinson Hearing.

Thea Halliday
In 2011 I completed a Diploma in Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation and have since been working with adults in hearing rehabilitation and diagnostic testing. I have a keen interest in providing the finest possible care to those with a hearing disability, using my tertiary training to enable the best of outcomes. I consider myself very fortunate to work with the Brad Hutchinson Hearing team as I believe them to be the most dedicated and ethical group of professionals I have worked with. I enjoy spending time with family, gardening and taking long hikes with my dog
